Have you heard of the term ‘garbage bank’ ? It is a bank which accepts non-recycleable garbage, such as plastics from people and pay them according to their type and weight. I think a garbage bank is a necessity.
First of all, it is good solution for garbage problems in the environment. A garbage bank will enable people to collect garbage and ‘save’ it in a bank. When they do this, the environment becomes cleaner.
Beside, because people who save their garbage get paid for it, more people, including children, are encouraged to collect garbage. It means that the bank helps people earn money and save from an early age.
Another important thing is that, the presence of garbage bank creates job opportunities for people at garbage bank.
Based on the reasons mentioned. I think it is good idea that garbage bank are built in all province in Indonesia. Expert in economy and experienced staff at well-developed garbage bank should provide workshops and training to provide more skillful people to run the banks. The government should also supply financial support wherever necessary for existence of these banks.
